Friday night at The Garage was our first time there, even though they have been open for several months. The place was very active at 5 p.m. when we got there and very busy when we left. The food was excellent—Philly Po Boy and Super Bird Flat Bread with chicken, bacon, and ranch. We started with the southern favorite, Hot Rod Pimento dip. 1 Medium Eggplant, cut into 3" x 1" pieces
1/2 cup flour

Flavoring mixture:

1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 Tbs chopped onion
1 Tbs chopped fresh hot peppers

1/2 cup ground beef
2 Tbs cooking oil
1 Tbs chopped onion

Sauce Mixture:
1 Tbs dry sherry (or other wine)
2 Tbs hot bean sauce
1 Tbs Chinese black vinegar
1/3 cup stock
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
