Cherokee Lake

This week I want to talk to you about Cherokee Lake, located in Tamassee, SC. This beautiful private lake has 220-Acres that is fed by 5 mountain streams & springs for a consistent water level. There is good fishing. This lake was built in the 50’s and is the largest private lake in Oconee County. The area is bordered on 2 sides by Sumter National Forest. Enjoy some natural beauty; magnificent mountain views, sunrises, and sunsets depending on the location of your home on this lake. Many lakefront lots have a gentle slope to the water. Combining the Lake and Mountains as a natural attraction.

You can choose to water ski, or tube all day, but sorry NO jet skis allowed on this lake.

As a private lake, it does have Restrictions. If you plan to build it must be a minimum 900 sf. And no mobile homes. There is a $2000 Membership Fee + transfer fee, and annual HOA dues. The road around the lake is maintained by Oconee County.

I have several listings that would meet any budget. Tell me what you are looking for and I will take it from there, and help meet all of your needs. While creating your Cherokee Lake Retreat that is simply unforgettable. If you want to move in now or build the lake cottage of your dreams, you can live the good life here.

Enjoy the mountains, the lake, and the convenient location of Cherokee Lake.
