The Reserve:  A gated private golf course community sits between Highway 11 and Highway 183 just off Highway 133.  Following a private road you enter the main gate and travel 2.2 miles to the club house.  Very reminiscent of the Grove Park Inn construction, stone and shake, very rustic.  The bridges are stone construction, the road gives you glimpses of the Blue Ridge Mountains, apple orchards, lakes and rustic barns along the way.  From the club house you can see the emerald green waters of Lake Keowee.

My favorite house on the tour at The Reserve was the waterfall house.  The waterfall runs through the house, very much as you would imagine Frank Lloyd Wright designing a home.  This property is not quite finished, you can choose special light fixtures. The garage is tall enough to store your RV, with a slight modification.  Check out the Lake Keowee Views  and the waterfall.

The homes of the community range from 1700 to 10,000 square feet.  Prices start at $495,000 and at this time the waterfront waterfall home available for $3,995,995.  This community is just 1 hour from Greenville, SC, 2 hours from Atlanta, GA and 3 hours to Charlotte, NC.  A great community for your country home, close enough to go out to the theater or dinner and still come home to the peace and quiet of The Reserve.

This community has their own golf course, of course, post office and country store.  The new additions for this year will be a self paced fitness center to be added to the current tennis courts.  The new center will have a weight room, sauna and private instructors will be available for individual or group instruction.
