Tornado Damage in Alabama
Tags: local interest
I received a call on April 27th saying I needed to go to Alabama to help out. I drove all day and when I arrived in Jasper this is what I saw. Neighborhoods destroyed. People just standing dazed at what was gone and how their lives had changed.

The most common thread though, was how grateful they were to be alive, possessions could be replaced. As I watched families gather I realized this was different than when I was at other disasters, people here still had hope and a positive attitude.

Pictures are just one dimentional. You can see the damage, but when you are there you can feel the damage. The Red Cross is helping the residents. You can make a dontaion to your local chapter, with Alabama Tornado in the subject line.
