Helen Ga Arts & Crafts Show
The weekend after Valentines Day is the Fireside Arts & Crafts show at the Unicoi State Park. About 30 artist from all over the south come together to make a great show.
This year we found an old friend, Linda Vachon. We have been collecting her works for about 3 years. Everyone in our family has at least one of her prints. We have an original. You can view her work atwww.lindavachon.com
We also discovered Gerry Grimes, a retired engineer fromOklahoma. His work was very detailed and we really enjoyed talking with him and his wife. We purchased a pencil drawing of an old barn which can be found all around our county. His web site is www.gerrygrimes.com.
Our final purchase of the day was from Amber Gilleland. Amber's work is very different from any other painting that we own. Henry thought it spoke to him and he was thinking of the grandkids bedroom. The painting grows on you. Carrell has claimed the purple chicken as hers as purple is one of her favorite colors.
